Meet the Team
Owner and Head CoachDiana
Meet Coach Di, the lifeforce of Dynamic Edge.
Dynamic Edge was created from Diana’s belief that a gym should be a place where people feel seen, supported and capable—regardless of their age, fitness level, injuries or what life has thrown their way.
As a mum of three, including children with additional needs, Diana understands that real life is rarely simple. She knows what it is like to juggle family responsibilities, personal hardships, injuries and the needs of everyone around you, while trying to find enough time and energy to look after yourself.
Diana has walked the walk and done the hard work herself. After losing more than 40 kilograms, she transformed not only her health but her confidence and strength. She became deeply committed to strength training and pushed herself to the point of preparing for a bodybuilding competition—an experience that taught her just how much the body and mind are capable of. Her journey hasn’t been without injuries, setbacks or challenging seasons, and she knows firsthand that progress is rarely a straight line. These experiences have shaped the coach she is today—someone who understands what it takes to begin, keep going, adapt when life gets in the way and rebuild when things don’t go to plan.
These experiences taught Diana that fitness cannot be one-size-fits-all. People need different levels of support, different challenges and sometimes a completely different version of an exercise. Most importantly, they need a coach who takes the time to understand them.
Diana has a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She will listen when you are struggling, celebrate the wins you may not recognise in yourself and, when needed, give you the push that helps you discover what you are truly capable of. She is warm and compassionate, but she also won’t let you continually sell yourself short.
Her coaching is about far more than delivering a workout. Diana considers each person’s goals, experience, injuries, limitations, confidence and life circumstances, adapting their training so they can participate safely while still feeling appropriately challenged.
This deeply personal approach is what inspired Diana to create Dynamic Edge: a welcoming, community-focused gym where people don’t need to get fit before they arrive, compete with anyone else or fit a particular mould. They can simply start where they are and be supported to become stronger for everyday life.
For Diana, the greatest reward isn’t only seeing someone lose weight or lift more. It’s watching them build confidence, move with less fear, do something they never believed they could do and begin to see themselves differently.
Fair warning: Diana may be tiny, but her voice definitely isn’t! She’ll use it to motivate you, celebrate your wins and push you every step of the way.
Operations Support and CoachRenee
Renee is our Dynamic Edge all-rounder. Managing administration and all the behind the scenes work that goes into running a small business, Renee’s right there beside Diana.
But for Renee, it has never been just another job. She genuinely believes in everything Dynamic Edge stands for and feels incredibly privileged to have helped build a place where people feel supported, included and capable. Seeing the difference the gym makes in members’ lives is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
With a background in nursing, injury management and the corporate world, Renee brings a broad range of experience to Dynamic Edge. She understands that health, work, family, injuries and life pressures are often closely connected, and that supporting someone means looking at the whole person—not simply handing them a workout.
Under Diana’s coaching, Renee discovered firsthand what strength training and a genuinely supportive community can do. She found strength and confidence she didn’t know she had—not only physically, but mentally too.
Inspired by the difference it made in her own life, Renee completed her fitness qualifications so she could help others experience that same sense of capability and belonging.Because Renee still trains alongside the members herself, she understands both sides of the gym experience. She knows what it feels like to arrive tired, work around injuries, struggle through an exercise and occasionally hope the coach isn’t watching! It allows her to connect with members as both a trainer and someone doing the work right beside them.
Renee brings a gentle, calm and encouraging approach to her coaching. She wants people to feel comfortable, supported and proud of what they can do, while still helping them recognise that they may be capable of more than they think. She is also usually the first to jump into the fun, have a laugh or start dancing when a good song comes on.
Fair warning: Renee plays both sides—she may sympathise with you as a fellow member one minute, then switch into coach mode and tell you to keep going or work harder!
CoachJess
Sport and fitness has always been a big part of Jess’ life. Jess understands the positive impact training can have far beyond physical results. As a mum of two young boys, she knows how busy life can be and how important it is to make time for something that supports both your physical and mental wellbeing.
After many years working as a hairdresser, Jess decided to follow her passion and make the move into personal training and coaching. She has been part of Dynamic Edge since the very beginning, joining as one of our first members while completing her fitness qualifications before stepping into her role as a coach. Even now, Jess continues to train alongside our members—sharing the hard work, the laughs and the occasional struggle from the other side of the gym floor.
Jess is passionate about the incredible mental health benefits of exercise. Training isn’t only about becoming fitter or stronger—it can also help clear your head, build confidence and create positive changes that carry into everyday life.
Warm, encouraging and motivating, Jess gently coaches people to believe in themselves while making sure they feel supported along the way. Driven by a genuine love of helping others, she loves watching members grow in both confidence and strength. Thanks to all those years behind the hairdressing chair, she can also strike up a conversation with just about anyone!
Fair warning: Jess may coach with warmth and encouragement, but as a mum of two, she also has a well-practised “mum voice”—and she isn’t afraid to use it when it’s time to stop overthinking and just get it done!
CoachCari
With years of experience training in different gyms and across a variety of training styles, Cari brings a broad range of knowledge and effective techniques to every session. She understands that there is no single approach that works for everyone and enjoys helping members find ways to train that suit their individual needs, abilities and goals.
As a busy mum of four—yep, four!—Cari knows the reality of juggling children, work and everyday life. She understands how difficult it can be to prioritise your own health when there is always someone or something else demanding your attention.
Cari creates an environment where members feel comfortable, encouraged and supported, while still being challenged to make progress. Her calm, nurturing and positive approach helps people feel at ease, but don’t mistake that calmness for letting you take the easy option!
Alongside coaching, Cari works in disability support. The patience, adaptability and understanding she brings from this work are a wonderful fit with Dynamic Edge and our commitment to meeting every person where they are.
Fair warning: Cari has a special gift for magically increasing your weights when you aren’t looking. You may not see it happen—but somehow, the dumbbells are always heavier than you remember!
CoachTani
Tani genuinely cares about helping people become stronger, healthier and more confident. Quiet and unassuming, she may not be the loudest person in the room, but her knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to helping others is clear.
Alongside her personal training qualifications, Tani holds a Certificate IV in Nutrition and a certification in pre and postnatal training. She is also in her third year of studying a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, reflecting her genuine love of all things health and fitness—and her commitment to continuing to learn.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Tani is also a qualified engineer! Her thoughtful, practical and detail-focused nature carries beautifully into her coaching, helping her tailor training to each person’s individual needs, circumstances and goals.
Tani is passionate about helping people build a genuine love for movement, achieve goals they once thought were out of reach and learn to enjoy the process—not just focus on the outcome. Her calm and focused coaching style creates an environment where members feel supported while still being challenged to make progress.
Fair warning: Tani might be quietly spoken, but her workouts certainly aren’t! She may not say much while you’re working, but with an engineer’s attention to numbers, you can be certain she knows exactly how many reps you have left.
Mat Pilates InstructorAlex
Alex is our Mat Pilates instructor and also a valued member of the Dynamic Edge community, so she understands the gym experience from both sides of the mat.
With a background as an educational therapist, Alex is experienced in supporting people to build confidence, develop their abilities and reach their potential. She brings that same patience, understanding and individual focus to every Pilates class she teaches.
Alex discovered Pilates during the COVID lockdowns and quickly fell in love with how strong, energised and balanced it made her feel. Inspired to share those benefits with others, she completed her training and now brings her wonderfully calm, focused energy to our Mat Pilates classes.
If you have an injury or limitation, that’s no problem. Alex works closely with our coaching team to understand each person’s needs and tailor movements where required, helping everyone access the benefits of Mat Pilates in a way that feels comfortable, safe and appropriately challenging.
Alex creates a welcoming environment where members can slow down, focus on their bodies and build strength, stability, mobility and control—whatever their starting point.
Fair warning: don’t let Alex’s calm voice and relaxed energy fool you. Your muscles may be shaking, but she’ll keep smiling and calmly reassure you that there are only a few more!
